This short basic lesson will teach you about the verb being and how to use it in Norwegian

“To be” in Norwegian is “å være”, the present form is “er”.
I am – Jeg er
You are – Du er
He is – Han er
She is – Hun er
It is – Det er
We are – Vi er
They are – De er

Examples of use in Norwegian language:
I am here – Jeg er her
You are kind – Du er snill
He is happy – Han er glad
She is athletic – Hun er atletisk
It is nice (weather) – Det er pent (vær)
We are friends – Vi er venner
They are friends – De er venner

Use in a sentence:
Jeg er glad fordi det er snart helg
I am happy because it is soon weekend.

Translation
fordi = because
soon = snart
helg = weekend

Now you have also learned some new Norwegian words too :)

Vi snakkes,
hilsen mrBjordal :)

(hilsen = regards / greetings)

    i mean, fonetic transcription :)
    just i don’t know how to SPEAK norwegian words properly,
    i.e. “snart” is it [snor't] or [znaart] or smth like that? :)

    “Jeg er her”: how to speak this right? “Gek e he”
    and where is to accent? :) i.e. word “atletisk”: is it Atletisk or athlEtisk or athletIsk

    sry i’m beginner in norwegian, and english isn’t my native :)

    Det er riktig / that is correct :)
    However; Leksjoner, you missed a “s”, probably just typing error :)
