Driving in Hardanger (RV7) – Narrow roads and great nature!

RV7 is the short version of Riksvei 7, or in English “National Road no. 7“. This is one of the routes between Bergen and Oslo, However, RV7 ends in Honefoss (not too far from Oslo). RV7 is 387 km long and it includes a ferry between Brimnes and Brurarvik.
Recommended route if…
The RV7 is a national tourist route and a very scenic road. The road is highly recommended if you are not in a hurry. It is close to impossible to be amazed by the great nature and the Hardangerfjord.
During the summer it is also possible to buy fruit along the road in Hardanger, as Hardanger is known for being “The fruit garden of Norway“.

When drivning this route in Hardanger, you’ll drive through some nice places where you may stop for a break, or several stops, like: Norheimsund, Oystese and Eidfjord.
